Ziio Tablet

Creative is jumping onto the Tablet bandwagon with its new Ziio 7in device.

As its name implies, the Ziio 7in has a 7in (480 x 800-pixel) resistive touchscreen and has 8GB of storage capacity.

The Ziio Tablets runs on Android 2.1 (which is upgradeable to Android 2.2) and is powered by a ZiiLab ZMS -08 HD Media-Rich Applications processor.

There is no official word on the processor's clock speed or the amount of RAM on the device.

However Creative said the Tablet will come with audio-enhancement features that are designed to improve the quality of audio playback from its built-in speakers.

Apart from listening to music through the regular 3.5 stereo jack, the Ziio Tablet also supports wireless audio streaming to Bluetooth speakers and headphones.

This includes audio products like Creative's ZiiSound D5 wireless speakers or WP-300 wireless headphones.

Apart from Bluetooth connectivity, the Tablet is capable of web browsing over WiFi 802.11b/g. It also has a front facing VGA quality camera for video chat applications like Skype.

Additionally the Ziio has HDMI support and can handle 720p HD video playback when hooked up to a large screen display.

For video playback, the Ziio supports common video codecs such as AVI, MOV and MKV.
