Najib: Anwar should provide DNA sample

Anwar Ibrahim

Parti Keadilan Rakyat has been trading lies and is losing credibility as a result.Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Najib Razak said PKR's founding members were abandoning the party because of the lies.

The prime minister cited the Sept 16 promise three years ago by PKR to form the government as the biggest political lie of the century.

"If the party claims to uphold justice, then its leader (Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim) should voluntarily give his DNA sample.

"Everybody wants to know who 'male Y' is and if he refuses, how can the party be the one that fights for justice?

"Why is he afraid of giving his DNA sample? Is he hiding something?" said Najib in his address during the "Senada, Sejiwa" programme.

"If the opposition leader is an idol, why are PKR members leaving?"

Najib said PKR was like those people who sell medicine on the streets and whose sales pitch were laced with lies.

"They talk nice but you never know if the medicine works."

Earlier in Sadong Jaya, Najib said the opposition was in disarray.

"As for Barisan Nasional, we do not make empty promises and we have also proven ourselves."
