Birthday Boy Justin Bieber Turns 17 on March 1.

"He's done with being 16, finally, and he's had a massively successful year. A recap and thoughts on: what will Justin Bieber accomplish at 17"

They grow up so fast, no? He began to make a big splash on the pop music scene when he was but 15-years-old, younger if you include his youtube debut, but now Justin Bieber is really getting all growed up. The diminutive pop star from Canada turns 17 on Tuesday, March 1, 2011.
Sixteen is the year the songs are written about, a coming of age year, and it was a wonderful year for Bieber. Any accomplishments over of the year? How about a new album, My World 2.0, released in late March of 2010, a new book, Justin Bieber First Step 2 Forever: My Story and a new film, Justin Bieber: Never Say Never. That enough for a 16-year-old?

Justin Bieber Keeps Growing

Bieber also did a huge amount or touring, which he'll get back to when he leaves for England not long after his 17th birthday. At 16 he didn't get a Grammy - let's leave something to do at 17! - but won the Best New Artist at the MTV Video Music Awards in September and dominated the American Music Awards (AMA) with four wins, including Artist of the Year, the youngest to win that award in its 37 year history.
Other accomplishments include have close to 7 million Twitter followers and becoming the second person ever to reach 1 billion YouTube views. He managed that feat in late 2010, not long after Lady Gaga did, but has passed her since and sits in first place with over 1.3 billion YouTube views.

Justin Bieber's 16th Birthday, March 1 2010

His sixteenth birthday had definite highlights for Bieber. Firstly he was excited, as all Canadians were, with Canada's thrilling 3-2 overtime win over the U.S. to take the gold medal in hockey at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver; Sidney Crosby scored the winner the day before Bieber's birthday.
On his birthday last year, he drove a Ferrari F430 belonging to Sean Kingston. A highlight was going to a L.A. Lakers game and getting to meet a hero of his, Kobe Bryant. This was his birthday tweet last year: "Lakers win.. Canada wins in overtime. And I get to meet this guy. KOBE! Blessed birthday. No word on how Bieber will spend his birthday Tuesday, but he'll surely be with family and friends. His parents and sister and Selena Gomez, Usher, manager Scooter Bruan. Doubtless he and his new haircut will tweet fans and give them a glimpse into what his world is like on his 17th birthday. How Will Justin Bieber Spend His 17th Birthday?
The bigger question is, after all he did at 16, what kind of accomplishments will Justin Bieber manage at 17? Doubtless big and exciting ones.
Happy Birthday, Mr. Bieber.
